Marlbo Office Reopens After Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebrations
Marlbo officially reopened for duties today at 7:15 AM following an extended holiday in celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. A ten-day holiday was graciously granted to all staff by the Management in appreciation of their invaluable contribution toward Marlbo’s landmark achievements during the 2024/2025 financial year.
The reopening ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings. Mr. Upul Kulatunga, Director – Commercial and Business Development, warmly welcomed the staff and highlighted the significant milestones achieved over the past year. He also emphasized the new level of excellence the company has reached, and the importance of sustaining and building upon these accomplishments moving forward.
Following this, President’s Counsel Champani Padmasekara, Chairman Marlbo Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, addressed the gathering. He spoke about the potential challenges that may arise due to geopolitical developments in the international market and encouraged everyone to remain resilient and dedicated in their efforts to overcome them.
On behalf of the staff Ms. Prarthana Weerasingha, the Sale Coordinator of the Machinery Division addressed the gathering and expressed the need for teamwork to achieve better and wished all the very best.
Mr. Maniymuthu, Proprietor of the Marlbo Group, extended his heartfelt thanks to all employees for their exceptional contributions throughout the previous financial year. He wished everyone a prosperous New Year and another successful chapter of growth and achievement.
